I was in bed and the phone rang - I thought humm its almost one - anyone calling my cell at this time might really need to talk (and since I wasn’t asleep yet down from bed I hot - yes down - remember I am in a men’s’ dorm this summer and my twin bed is raised in the air so that I can fit my houseload of stuff in this single roon). Well no one was dying or emotionally unstable - just an invite to go biking at 8 tomorrow morning - we’ll see if that flies or not. I could be warm and snugly asleep til at least 8:30.

no i didnt get any sleep last night (i did get a few hours starting at 7:30 and then a few more in the afternoon). However, I did get a great 45 minutes of peacefulness watching and taking pictures of the sun coming sitting in front of the bible department. There is a one way sign that sits in front of the bible building which with no sleep you can imagine where my thought process went (not for the bible department - but what christians often embody - the movie saved! anyone?)
So here is the pic for you to smile too - yes I know it runs off the side of my blog but I didnt want to resize it and you can enjoy the fun details (I love my digital rebel).

Just for the record I am not currently jumping ship. But this past semester I had to face it several times as I looked at (and withdrew my name from) jobs with other denominations. So when I read Mike’s transcript it very much hit some personal cords.

Back up passion if I ever jump ship- working in Africa with a social organization that targets the AIDS crisis ravenging the country.

- crawling back into bed now, let my happy ibook sleep some too (Trav I ran win98 the other day on it and no blue screen of death - phew)
