Chuck - I will post a picture just for you. I tried to see if they have a website - tacohut . com redirects to a porn site warning page. Humm that is scary. But I will get you a picture of the grease pit located between Pizza Hut and Taco Bell.

Today the woman next to me on my flight from Phoenix to Kansas City tried to carry on a large box of eggs. Yes eggs. No extra packaging (a partial brown box held them. They did not fit overhead. They did not fit under the seat. So she scooted them back and just put her legs over them. This did not go over for long. The flight attendants had seen the box come on. They had seen it try unsuccessfully to go above. They knew it would not fit below. They were looking for the box. The woman did not speak much English. They told her to hand over the box - it would have to be checked. But they are eggs, she replied. (At this point I am thinking - please do not put the box of eggs with the rest of our luggage; I do not want to imagine what would happen as they came a rolling down the baggage claim track…yuck yuck yuck). They took the eggs. She was not happy. It appears they found somewhere in the cabin to keep them. No eggs on the luggage.
the end.

Packing is not as much fun as it might appear. I thought for sure that by now we would have been able to make it a simpler process. I am leaving the “little apple” sometime in the next week - for one of two unnamed cities for one of two unnamed jobs. Either way there is packing involved. It has begun as my office is finding its way into boxes (we are about to do a large bit of construction at the campus center so I want to get my stuff out of the way as soon as possible). My room at home is also collecting boxes. Shouldn’t we have a teleporter-type-something by now? Isn’t that what cartoons told us all those Saturday mornings?
ahh well… back to boxes and papers.

Things that I wonder how they made it on the “news” page:
1. Michael Jackson
2. Runaway Bride
3. Rare nickel sells for $4 million
Really isnt there something more important going on in the world to make the top headlines? Are we so America-centric that we devote large amounts of time week after week after week to one and two?
